Configuring wireless networks

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Configuring Wireless networks is typically performed by the operating system or with the utilities that come with the wireless network network card of your device.  The utilities will show a hierarchy of networks that the device will attach to.  The top wireless network is typically the first the device will attach to.

If you are using multiple instances or devices of StageDirector, the top network should be the StageDirector network, so that the Device wont waste time waiting for timeouts on networks that are not available.

For dedicated StageDirector units such as the StageDirector Hardware Floor Monitor or the StageDirector Music Stand, there is the additional application installed called InControl.  During startup this application the Start bar and Desktop icons are made invisible as well disables the system hotkeys such as CTRL+ESC.
