The search path configuration is mainly required for the karaoke functions of StageDirector.  The karaoke function requires .MP3 and associated .CDG files.  For instance a song called MySong will have the following 2 files

 

       MySong.MP3

       MySong.CDG

 

StageDirector will play the sound file from MySong.MP3 and will read the lyrics from MySong.CDG.  There are many CDG editors available online which can be purchased.

 

The karaoke has a search function.  the search is started from the Search Path.

 

Step 1 -

 

Select Tools - Configure - Select External

 

 

edit the path

 

       

Step 2 -

 

       Type in the correct path

 

       i.e.   Files Path C:\Karaoke

 

 

Everytime the system searches for new karaoke files it will search from this path downwards

This path can contain sub directories
